Introducing the New Specialissima by Bianchi: Your Ultimate All-Rounder
Bianchi's Reparto Corse proudly presents the next-gen all-rounder road bike: the brand-new Specialissima. With an astonishingly low weight of just 6.60 kg and meticulously crafted aerodynamic tube shapes, this bike delivers exceptional climbing performance, unmatched speed on flat roads, and confident descents. As the perfect companion to the renowned Oltre platform, the Specialissima completes Bianchi's high-performance road racing range, setting new standards for all-rounders. Discover the lightweight and aerodynamic wonder that makes you go faster – without making any compromises.
In a world where speed reigns supreme, Bianchi's Reparto Corse drew inspiration from feedback provided by professional athletes to create a racing machine that's both ultralight and incredibly responsive. The Specialissima truly shines on the steepest slopes, but its performance extends to hilly routes, offering exceptional downhill efficiency, maneuverability, and energy-saving capabilities on flat stretches. The Specialissima's frame and components underwent a meticulous redesign, focusing on improving aerodynamic efficiency without sacrificing weight and responsiveness. It's all about reaching that tipping point, where one bike outperforms the other.
With a total weight of just 6.6 kg (for size 55) and a market-leading stiffness-to-weight ratio, the Specialissima excels on steep roads. Bianchi's Reparto Corse succeeded in enhancing its aerodynamic performance while maintaining a competitive edge, even on less severe inclines. They shifted the parameters of slope and power, lowering the threshold for the Specialissima's advantage to a mere 6 percent gradient, compared to the previous 8.8 percent. The results speak for themselves: an 8.7-second advantage on a 6 percent climb for a rider producing 200 watts, and a 31.19-second edge on flat terrain at the same power output. Elite climbers will appreciate the remarkable 3.6 watts of power saved on a 6 percent gradient at 30 km/h.
Drawing from the success of the Oltre RC, Bianchi's Reparto Corse integrated the fork into the frame to reduce friction, just like the Oltre. The fork's design was inspired by its aero sibling, while the D-shaped seat post follows the aerodynamically optimized profile seen in other sections of the bike.
Achieving such a low weight required optimization efforts across the board, affecting every component. Bianchi's Reparto Corse strategically redistributed weights and materials, crafting ultra-fine vertical stays, slimmer horizontal stays, and a more generous head tube for improved aerodynamics. Even details like the derailleur hanger and integrated seat tube locking system were refined. The Specialissima RC model's special finish shaves off an additional 40 grams compared to other finishes.
To elevate the Specialissima RC's performance, specific components were developed, starting with the integrated handlebar, weighing just 330 grams for the 110x380 mm version. The handlebar is compatible with Acros internal cable routing, features a reach of 73 mm, a drop of 125 mm, and a two-degree flare. The Specialissima RC handlebar is also compatible with other Specialissima versions: Pro and Comp. The bike comes equipped with Bianchi Reparto Corse wheels boasting 33 mm tubeless-ready rims compatible with tires up to 32 mm and high-quality Ceramitech hubs, weighing only 1380 grams. A clever combination of traditional and straight-pull spokes ensures the perfect balance between speed and comfort.
Bianchi's Specialissima is available in three distinct versions:
